Alexia Fisher

Paralegal

Alexia brings a rare combination of federal claims expertise, investigative experience, and a deep understanding of the human side of the claims process to the clients she serves. She offers deep subject matter expertise in OWCP- FECA, shaped by her service as both a Claims Examiner with the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Workers’ Compensation Programs and a Program Manager overseeing federal workers’ compensation claims. Her experience managing complex federal claims and operations in both the private and public sector gives her a practical understanding of how cases are evaluated at every stage  from initial submission through higher levels of review. Having worked closely with Administrative Law Judges, she understands the evidentiary standards and legal scrutiny cases may face on appeal. She approaches every matter with the foresight necessary to ensure it is prepared thoroughly and strategically from the onset. In addition, her investigative experience with Homeland Security Investigations sharpened her ability to analyze complex fact patterns, assess credibility, and approach each case with precision and discretion. She applies this investigative mindset to ensure that no critical detail is overlooked and that each client’s story is clearly and accurately presented to best serve the claimant.

Education

Alexia holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and a Master’s degree in Sociology. Her academic training, combined with experience working with matters involving mental health considerations, gives her a broader understanding of the systemic and personal challenges many injured workers face. She recognizes that behind every claim is a person navigating stress, uncertainty, and often significant life disruption.

Outside of her professional work, Alexia enjoys spending time outdoors — especially at the pool or beach — exploring new restaurants, traveling, and attempting to nail down her southern cooking skills. Clients may occasionally hear the gentle snoring of her 100-pound German Boxer in the background, a lighthearted reminder that while the work we do is serious, she believes in remaining grounded, approachable, and human.
